Instructor notes: Hi all, and welcome to History 110 online! This course is entirely online, so you'll need to have access to a reliable internet provider. It is also crucial that you know your own strengths. If you are not truly disciplined in your study habits and a highly organized person, this is NOT the course for you. *Note that you must check Blackboard and follow the first week directions that are there by *January 15* or you will be dropped from the class--absolutely no exceptions. The textbook is specially designed for this course, and as such will be available only through the MCC bookstore. The upside of this is that the book is cheaper and more focused on readings we will use. The earliest it will be available is mid-December, and it may not be available until early January. I will not be responding to emails over the holidays, but you can find out when it is available by contacting the bookstore at 760.795.6630. Additional information regarding the class will be available on Blackboard by no later than January 10 (and probably sooner). Once it is available, you will see the course in your list of courses in Blackboard. Please hold off on emailing me with questions about class policies until you see the class is available and read through the various documents (syllabus, schedule, announcements, etc). I look forward to the opportunity to explore America's early history with you! Brad Byrom, PhD History Professor and Department Chair MiraCosta College
