Instructor notes: This is an ideal course for any student who thinks or even knows that they want to get a degree in business. I bring to this course my experience as a Director in a large, publically traded multi-national company as well as my experience teaching Human Resources, Global Business, and Small Business Management. In this survey course you will receive a good overview macroeconomics as it relates to business, company ownership and management structures, organizational structures, and high-level overviews of marketing, accounting, finance, business law and risk management. Business ethics and corporate social responsibility are also discussed. You will engage in detailed study of a specific and company in that industry to explore the above topics. Our work in this course will expand your understanding of the business world and provide you with helpful insights for employment decisions, both personally and professionally. This is NOT a self-paced class. There will be weekly homework assignments and written analyses due throughout the semester. I look forward to embarking on this journey with you!
