ZTC and LTC Classes

The college strives to ensure that the ZTC and LTC designations are accurate; however, under some circumstances, faculty may have to adjust selection of instructional materials and this can affect course material costs. It may also be necessary to change instructors. Replacement faculty have academic freedom to choose instructional materials regardless of costs and are not obligated to use free course materials selected by an instructor previously assigned to the class.

Instructor notes: This is a hybrid course, with the lecture component conducted online and the lab component conducted on campus each week. The online portion of the class consists of weekly pre-tests (to be completed each week by Monday night), weekly post-tests (to be completed each week by Friday night), about 15 ten-minute lecture videos each week (to be viewed whenever the student likes, as often as he/she likes), and a discussion board. The pre-tests and post-tests combined make up 5% of the overall grade. The on-ground meetings will be used to complete the weekly labs (20 % of your overall grade) and to administer the 6 quizzes (50% of your overall grade) throughout the semester. There are no makeups for missed labs or quizzes. The final exam is held during finals week on campus and is 25% of your overall grade.
