MIRACOSTA COLLEGE WOMEN'S ADVISORY COMMITTEE
The Women’s Advisory Committee is proud to present the Business Leadership Conference: Applied Business Ethics. Proceeds from the conference will directly support MiraCosta College students.
The MiraCosta College Women’s Advisory Committee, comprised of students, staff, and community members, was formed in 1973 to provide a liaison between community women and MiraCosta College. The committee originally formed to serve as an advisory group for women’s programs and services; the role has expanded to serve the men and women of the district by supporting scholarship programs, campus events, and many programs designed to help students succeed. Operating on a yearly budget of $12,000-15,000, the WAC
is currently supporting the following programs:
- Student Scholarships
- Textbook Loan Programs
- Medal of Honor Scholarship Event
- TIDEPOOLS Literary Journal
- Behavioral Sciences Paper Symposium
- First Impressions Student Clothing Program
- Extended Opportunity Programs and Services (EOPS)
