Boeing Employees Honor MiraCosta College Veterans with Scholarship Gift

The Employees Community Fund of Boeing California has awarded a $15,000 grant to the MiraCosta College Foundation to provide scholarships for veterans enrolling in Archi’s Acres Veterans Sustainable Agriculture Training (VSAT) Program, which is managed by MiraCosta College’s Community Services.

 

“This gift came from the employees of Boeing to honor the sacrifices that so many veterans have made in service to our country,” says Linda Fogerson, executive director of the MiraCosta College Foundation. “We are so grateful for their support.”

 

VSAT offers veterans invaluable training in the burgeoning field of sustainable agriculture and provides them with a pathway to a secure and stable future. Scholarships provided by this gift enable veterans to participate in the six-week training program.
