MiraCosta College is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for our students, employees, and community members. Because of the unprecedented spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), the district is taking actions to slow the transmission of the virus and reduce the potential impact on our community through social distancing and by significantly reducing the volume of people on our campuses. Although campus offices will be closed, we will still deliver services remotely.
The CARE Team is still offering case management support while remote to all students using different modalities- including email, phone, and Zoom. The CARE team is committed to supporting students during this difficult time to the best of their ability. If you or someone you know has a concern about basic needs (i.e. Transportation, Food, Housing, Homelessness, etc) please submit a referral here and a CARE Team member will outreach directly to you. If you are a student self-referring, complete the “required” areas of the referral and enter your contact information under both "Reporter's Information" and “Involved Parties.” For more information about the CARE Program, visit our website.
Mental health counseling sessions are available both on a weekly basis and as one-time stand-alone sessions via Zoom or phone. Health Services is offering two new support groups via Zoom: an Emotional Health Support Group on Wednesdays 3-4, and an Art is Healing Group on Fridays 2-3.
