MiraCosta College Offering Noncredit Computer Classes

MiraCosta College is offering these tuition-free noncredit computer courses during spring semester: 

Essential Computer Skills (NCWFP11): MTW, 1:15–3:20 p.m., 3/18–5/8

The course is designed to assist students in improving their computer skills for the workplace or re-entering school. The NCWFP11 course will cover Windows 7, Word, Internet usage and web searching, email, and course management systems (Blackboard) used in college classes. Students should have basic computer usage skills (saving files, mouse and keyboard) prior to enrolling.



Computer Basics/Keyboarding (NCVOC38): Saturdays, 8–11:35 a.m., 3/23–5/4
This beginner level course is designed to assist students in learning to use the computer. Keyboard, mouse, email, saving files and other topics will be covered. This class provides foundation skills for other courses in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Intermediate Word Processing (NCVOC32): Saturdays, 8–11:35 a.m., 3/23–5/4
This course is designed to assist students in learning to use the Microsoft Office Word 2010 program to create documents for personal, business and school purposes. Students should already have basic Word computer skills.

Registration is happening now; complete a noncredit application now. Classes will be held at the MiraCosta College Community Learning Center, 1831 Mission Avenue, Oceanside.  Online enrollment and registration may be completed at https://surf.miracosta.edu.
