BARRAGAN HIRED AS NEXT COACH (Jan 1st, 2013)

The MiraCosta athletic department is proud to announce Miguel Barragan as the next head coach for the women's soccer program. Barragan played community college soccer and has coached at MiraCosta College for both the men's and women's team.  MiraCosta athletic director Pat Conahan said this, "Coach Barragan has incredibly strong ties to our community. He coaches in the local Oceanside club, he coaches girls soccer at Oceanside High School, and he is a tremendous coach and educator.  He is going to be a great asset to our department."

MORRETTI EARNS ALL-CONFERENCE (Nov 13th, 2012)

After a standout freshman season, MiraCosta College forward Sage Morretti has been selected to the PCAC all-conference team. Morretti (High Tech High), is an explosive forward who is always a threat to score goals. The MiraCosta athletic department and women's soccer coaching staff would like to congratulate Sage Morretti for the honor.

SPARTANS WINNING STREAK HITS THREE (Oct 17th, 2012)

With wins against Imperial Valley College, Palomar College and Grossmont, the women's soccer team has proven that they keep improving. In the most recent win the Spartans got goals from Nicole Danihels and Sage Morretti.  The Spartans are next in action Friday at Miramar College and Tuesday at home against Southwestern College at 3:00pm.

WOMEN'S SOCCER FALL TO GROSSMONT COLLEGE (Sept 14th, 2012)

After dominating the game for much of the first sixty minutes the Spartans (3-2-1) had a short lapse and gave up two goals in a five minute period.  Although they had numerous chances to score, they couldn't finish the plays which left them with the loss. The women's soccer team in next in action Tuesday Sept 18th at home at 3:15pm.

SPARTANS WIN AGAIN (Sept 12th, 2012)

Behind two goals from Karissa Seaberry and two goals from Elizabeth Rawson, the MiraCosta College women's soccer team defeated conference foe Imperial Valley College 4-1.  The win improves the Spartans record to 3-1-1 and to 1-0 in conference play.  The women's team is next in action on Friday Sept 14th at 3:15pm against Grossmont College.

MORRETTI LEADS MIRACOSTA EARLY IN THE YEAR (Sept 4th, 20012)

Sage Morretti is off to a great start for the Spartans this year with five goals in the first three games. MiraCosta's women' soccer team (2-1) has defeated Irvine Valley College, Sacramento City College and lost a hard fought match to Antelope Valley College.  In the second game of the year against SCC, Moretti had all three goals in a 3-2 victory. 

The women's team is next in action this Friday on the road and will return home on September 14th at 3:15pm.

SPARTANS OPEN SEASON WITH A VICTORY (August 29th, 2012)

The MiraCosta College women's soccer team got the season started with a convincing 2-1 win over the Irvine Valley College Lasers.  The Spartans were led by sophomore Karissa Seaberry who had the first goal and assisted on the game winning goal. Women's soccer is next in action on Sept 1st and 2nd at the Oxnard College Tournament.
