Counseling for Prospective Students

Whether you have recently graduated from high school, transferred from another college, or would like to re-enter college, the MiraCosta College Counseling Department is ready to serve you. Whether you wish to take a single course or a full load, earn a Certificate of Competence or prepare for transfer to a four-year university, the Counseling Department is committed to helping you succeed.
Below is some information to help you get started. Information for High School Students
You must first complete a Concurrent Enrollment Permit, then follow the steps below for enrollment.
Information for students returning to college or transferring from another college or university
- Complete the Steps to Successful Enrollment.
- If you have transcripts from other colleges, submit them to the Counseling office.
- Make an appointment with a counselor to discuss goals, course planning, and your educational objectives. Just stop by the Counseling office or call 760.795.6670 or 760.944.4449 x6670.
