Student Government Elections 2018
- What do you hope to accomplish for the students of MiraCosta College?
I plan on bringing together the community in having resource centers for our student populations that have equity based data proven they need it. I.e. LGBT+, Black, Homeless, AB-540, etc., by bringing in community sponsors, donors, etc. to build these resource centers.
- What qualities do you possess that will make you a good leader for the students of MiraCosta College?
I constantly put other students' concerns before my own, and enjoy helping other students. I’m very stubborn, which can be good when I've made up my mind up about whatever I want to accomplish.
- Describe your previous leadership and/or volunteer experience.I've trained at 4 different Emerging Leaders Institute, co-founded and been president of the Saranghae K-Pop club for the past three years, and I was VP of Programming- Oceanside last year. I've been a volunteer a the North CountyLGBTQIA Resource Center. I am also current President of the LGBx+ Spectrum Caucus of the Student Senate ofCalifornia Community Colleges, a collective body of students within the CCC system that represents other CCC students at the state level of legislation.
