Student Password Information

According to the District's Security Plan, all student passwords administratively expires annually. Your password allows access to MiraCosta's online systems such as: SURF, Blackboard, Canvas, Moodle, Wireless Network Access (Wi-Fi), Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP), VMWare, Lab Printing, and some Library Online Databases (contact the library for more info).

Forgot your SURF ID or password?

Students who are new to MiraCosta College and have received their SURF ID from Admissions and Records cannot reset their password until the following day after 7 a.m. Further, if you have NOT received your SURF ID after five business days from submitting your application, you may retrieve it and set up a password by following these steps below:
