How to download/update Java

You must have Java installed and/or updated in order for Blackboard to perform efficiently.

Downloads

• Free Java software.
• Java for Windows installation and troubleshooting instructions.
• Java for MAC instructions:
  • On your MAC desktop click the Apple icon located on the top left corner.
  • Click the Software Update... command.
  • Follow the installation steps to do your updates.
  • If Java wasn't updated then go to the Apple's Downloads website.
    • In the Search window type in Java
    • Select the appropriate Java for your MAC.
    • Install/update the Java.
