Dual Registration (High School + College)
MiraCosta College has partnerships with several local area high schools to enable you to take specific MiraCosta College courses as part of your regular high school schedule. These courses are offered at your high school and are not found in the class schedule nor are they open to other MiraCosta students. These courses are designed with YOU in mind! In order to see what Dual Registration courses may be available at your high school talk to your high school Counselor.
We recommend that you view our application tutorial prior to starting your application.
Apply for Admissions
Complete an online application. Allow 24 - 48 hours for the application to be processed. Once your application is processed we will send you a welcome email with your student ID number (we call it a SURF ID).
Submit this form when you get your SURF ID
A completed Concurrent/Dual Registration Permit is required for each semester. Visit our Dual Reg page for more detailed information about how to submit the form and other important information. NOTE: If you are a CATHEDRAL CATHOLIC (CCHS) student STOP. You must contact the Dean of Academics at CCHS for your form.
Prior to your registration date make sure your SURF account is ready to go!
We will send you your SURF ID# (student ID) via email after your application is processed. With this you can log into your account. You can check to see if you have any holds on your account. There are lots of things you can do in your SURF account so look around! For more information visit our Dual Reg (High School + College) page!
