As the newest member of the PIO team, Christi is feeling in her element amongst MiraCosta’s students, faculty and staff. She is a San Diego transplant, arriving 13 years ago after a sunny, February vacation with college friends reminded her there was more to life than river rafting and skiing. Originally from Oregon, she brings a B.A. in Spanish from the University of Oregon, plus a wealth of experience in social work, family law, and mental health. After several years of city life and working at the University of California, San Diego, Christi is happy to embrace the essence of North County living. When not at her desk, she is most likely outside on a trail, baking amazing cookies, or traveling the world.
Katie is making her debut as a student worker for the Public Information Office. After nearly five years of hopping around from class to class with no direction, she finally set her sights on a Media Arts and Technology major, where she realized she belonged all along. In her spare time (what little she has these days), Katie enjoys watching movies, playing video games, goofing off in Photoshop, and going to theme parks. She hopes to one day develop her own animated series for the web.
