Black Student Success Week is returning April 25-29, 2022. This year's theme is A Vision for Black Student Success: Creating a New Landscape to Succeed. The 2022 Black Student Success Week will focus on new approaches to ensure Black and African American students succeed at California Community Colleges as we recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Black Student Success Week is organized in partnership with the following departments and organizations: Student Equity, Umoja, Black Alliance, Black Student Union, Career Center, Associated Student Government, Service Learning & Volunteer Center, Professional Development Program, CARE, MiraCosta Alumni, Public Information Office, Student Life & Leadership, Theater and Dramatic Arts, Community Learning Center, San Elijo Campus, LGBTQIA+ Equity, UPRISE, Social Justice and Equity Center.
The week's statewide activities will be held virtually and include:
- Daily webinars: 12 - 1pm called The Black Hour
- Daily small group discussion forums: 1:30 - 2:30pm called The After Party
- A virtual advocacy day on Thursday, April 28th, called The BlackOut
