At Welcome Fest, students can

- Meet or schedule time with an academic counselor.

- Go on an Oceanside Campus tour.
- Attend information sessions and workshops.
- Enjoy FREE food and music.

New Student Course Selection Workshop
11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at 2nd Floor Computer Lab, Learning Commons Bldg. 1200
- Learn how to choose classes that match your goals and learn how to navigate SURF (our online registration system). We'll guide you through General and Transfer Advisement Sheets, so you'll leave with a complete first-semester education plan and the confidence to register like a pro. Attendees will also get a sneak peek into a new tool, Program Pathways Mapper, a term-by-term course guide that you can bookmark and review with your Academic Counselor.
Account Information, Software Availability and Open Lab
12:30-1 p.m. at 2nd Floor Computer Lab, Learning Commons Bldg. 1200
- Learn and ask questions regarding your MiraCosta account information, such as password reset, 2-factor authentication, and how to access your MiraCosta student email. Learn about the software that will be available to enrolled students and learn about the Open Computer Lab and the support that is available.
Intro: Community Service, Social Impact, and Scholarships
1-1:30 p.m. at 1st Floor Conference Room, Student Services Bldg. 14
- Discover how your participation in Service Learning & Volunteer Center activities support stronger communities, deepen social awareness, spotlight inequities, and strengthen scholarship applications.
Study Abroad 101

- Come explore exciting summer and semester programs and the steps to make studying abroad a reality. Learn how to fund your adventure with scholarships and financial tips to help you get started!
Apply for Financial Aid

- Come receive support with applying for financial aid!
CalFresh & Cold Brew
2:30-3 p.m. at 1st Floor Conference Room, Student Services Bldg. 14
- Come enjoy FREE Cold Coffee while learning about student eligibility for CalFresh,
a
California financial aid program that awards students up to $292 a month; this is FREE
MONEY that can be used to purchase groceries and occasionally a hot meal with
participating vendors. Students will also learn about other basic need services offered
by the MiraCosta CARE Program.
