Equity Centers are spaces where students are seen, supported, and connected. Each center is grounded in the understanding that student success is not one-size-fits-all. Our work focuses on closing equity gaps by creating culturally responsive environments, building community, and providing targeted academic and personal support.
Across all centers, students can expect a welcoming space, knowledgeable staff, and opportunities to engage in programming that affirms identity, builds skills, and supports their goals.
Our Approach
Equity Centers are designed as both Home Bases and Launch Pads, creating a balance between belonging and forward movement.
Home Base: A place to land
Each center serves as a consistent, identity-affirming space where students can build community, feel a sense of belonging, and access support without needing to explain or justify their experiences. These spaces are grounded in trust, cultural relevance, and care.
Launch Pad: A place to grow
Beyond connection, centers actively support students in moving toward their goals. Through academic guidance, leadership development, career exploration, and transfer support, students are equipped to navigate college and what comes next with confidence.
Equity as action
We intentionally address systemic barriers that impact student access and outcomes, using data, student voice, and continuous improvement to guide our work.
