THIS BULLETIN IS BEING POSTED TO ADVISE YOU OF AN INCIDENT THAT CONCERNS THE SAFETY OF THE MIRACOSTA COLLEGE COMMUNITY. PLEASE TAKE ALL NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS
On Thursday, 10/20/16 at approximately 10:30 a.m., a female student was walking on the sidewalk adjacent to Building T-420 on the Oceanside Campus (1 Barnard Drive) when an unidentified male, described by the victim as Hispanic, approached her and began a conversation. As the student continued walking the suspect made unwanted advances and placed his arm around her shoulder and neck area. The student then sat down on a bench and the man sat next to her, kissed her and rubbed her lower back and butt. The female student motioned to a classmate for help at which point the suspect left in the direction of Building 4800. The female student was not physically injured.
Male, described by the victim as Hispanic 18 years of age, unknown height, heavy build and long curly black hair, wearing a dark grey shirt, dark blue jeans and a black backpack.

The members of the MiraCosta College Police Department (MCPD) are responsible for protecting life and property on or near any property owned or controlled by the MiraCosta Community College District.
MiraCosta College complies with California law in recognizing orders of protection (EPO, CPO & TRO). Any person who obtains an order of protection from California should provide a copy to College Police and the office of the Title IX coordinator.
