Setting goals is an important part of academic success. We know you are coming to school to learn English. However, you need to set specific learning goals for each term. These short-term goals should be realistic. Can you accomplish them in one term? For example, a goal of graduating from college is a wonderful goal. However, you probably can’t accomplish this during the next term. Once you have selected your goals, you need to think about activities that will help you complete your goals. The activities will help you concentrate on what you need to do to reach your goals. The goal setting form will help you identify realistic goals that are achievable within a certain period of time and appropriate activities to reach your goals.
It is also important to have long-term goals in place. What is your career goal? What education do you need to enter this career?
