Get ready for a family-friendly and culturally enriching celebration at MiraCosta College’s Oceanside Campus (1 Barnard Dr., Oceanside, CA 92056). MiraCosta College is excited to announce two dynamic events on the same day: the 21st Annual STREAM Festival and the Latino Book & Family Festival.
The STREAM Festival aims to spark curiosity in these subjects and potential careers by focusing on science, technology, reading/writing, engineering, arts, and math. Attendees can participate in activities created by MiraCosta College Students, Staff, Faculty, and local Community Partners. The festival provides a unique opportunity for visitors to explore various fields and consider the educational offerings at MiraCosta College. The Latino Book & Family Festival, 10am-3pm, promotes literacy, culture, and community. Attendees can connect with their friends and neighbors while engaging with various local authors and vendors.

Prepárese para una celebración cultural y familiar en el campus de MiraCosta College (1 Barnard Dr., Oceanside, CA 92056). MiraCosta College organiza dos eventos dinámicos el mismo día: el Festival de STREAM y El Festival Latino del Libro y la Familia.
El Festival de STREAM tiene el objetivo de despertar la curiosidad en estos temas y carreras potenciales enfocándose en ciencia, tecnología, lectura/escritura, ingeniería, artes y matemáticas. Los asistentes pueden participar en actividades interactivas y prácticas por parte de estudiantes, profesores de MiraCosta College y organizaciones comunitarias. El festival brinda una oportunidad única para que los visitantes exploren diversos campos y consideren las ofertas educativas de MiraCosta College. El Festival Latino del Libro y la Familia, 10 p.m. a 3 p.m., promueve la alfabetización, la cultura, y la comunidad. Los asistentes pueden conectarse con sus amigos y vecinos mientras interactúan con diversos autores y vendedores locales.

2026 STREAM Festival - Volunteers Needed!
This year, the 21st Annual MiraCosta College STREAM Festival is taking place alongside The Latino Book & Family Festival on Saturday, April 25th. The STREAM Festival will run from 12pm-3pm.
During the STREAM Festival, we welcome MiraCosta Students, Staff, Faculty, and local Community Partners to host fun, hands-on STEM, Reading, and Art-related activities to engage the Pre-K-8th grade community and their loved ones.
We need the support of MiraCosta volunteers to help our festival a success!
Volunteers Tasks include
- Set-Up Crew, Student/Faculty Presenter Check-In, Community Partner Presenter Check-In, Community Registration Area (Spanish speakers needed), T-Shirt Table, Presenter Snack/Lunch/Supply Area, Area Lead, Fill-In Presenter, and Clean-Up Crew
