This year's Virtual STREAM Festival will consist of a live event on Saturday, April 24, 8:45am-12:15pm. The event will host 6 presentations from students and community partners. Most of the pre-recorded activities that are submitted will be hosted on the STREAM Google Site that will be announced during the Live Virtual STREAM Festival.
What age should STREAM activities be geared towards?
Both students/faculty/staff & Community Partners are invited to prepare and lead a STREAM activity geared towards the PreK-8th grade community. We recommend that you think about using vocabulary and concepts that are easily understood by kids and parents too! The best activities are those that can be easily duplicated with items that are easily accessible by families, can be duplicated using recycled materials or items easily found at home.
How long should each pre-recorded or live presentation be?
Each presentations should be limited to 20 minutes. The live presentations will also be 20 minutes long (15 minutes for activity and 5 minutes for Resources/Q+A) to present.
When is the deadline to register as a presenter?
The deadline to register your pre-recorded presentation is Wednesday, March 17.
Since my presentation is pre-corded (not live on 4/24) how will the community have access to it?
All recorded presentations will be posted on the Google Site for families to access on Saturday, April 24, after the live presentations have concluded.
