Umoja Community Requirements
- Must be a currently enrolled stuedent at MiraCosta College
- Attend an Umoja Community Program Orientation
- Meet with the Umoja Counselor at least once per semester
- Sign an Umoja Community Program Agreement outlining your commitment to participation and adherence to the program's expectations.
- Participate in at least three academic or cultural events hosted by Umoja or other Academic Success and Equity (ASE) programs per semester
Participants will have the opportunity to build a wide range of skills, including
- Leadership development
- Social justice awareness and responsibility
- Network building and professionalism
- Academic support and networking skills
- Community service involvement
