Applications are being accepted for two vacancies, Business Representative and Community At-Large, to be filled in April 2023. Administrative Procedure 6740: Independent Citizen’s Bond Oversight Committee
- Alec Babiarz (2nd term - ends 3/23/24)
A local entrepreneur and strong supporter of the college, Babiarz has been a member of the MCC Foundation Board since 2011 and is the current president of the board. - Larry Barry (2nd term - ends 3/23/24)
A long time Oceanside resident and MCC alum, Barry has served on numerous bond oversight committees throughout the county for 20 years. - William V. Howe (2nd term - ends 4/15/23)
Before retirement, Howe worked for government contractors and serves the committee as a Member-At-Large. - Michael Krival (1st term - ends 11/18/22)
With an extensive background in law and finance, as well as service on the Venice Chamber of Commerce and the San Diego Food Bank Advisory Board, Krival serves on the committee as a Member-At-Large. - Josh Mazur, Chair (2nd term - ends 4/15/23)
An entrepreneur and investor, Mazur represents the business community located in the district. He serves as the vice chair for the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce. - Ellen Marciel (1st term - ends 10/19/24)
New Oceanside resident and recent retiree, Marciel has extensive experience in public sector construction project management and community involvement, holding leadership roles on a number of boards. She serves on the committee as the Senior Citizens' Organization representative. - Brandon Quandt (1st term - ends 10/19/24)
As an active member of the Associated Student Government, Quandt represents the voice of MiraCosta College student.
