Register as a volunteer Program participant
Our center staff is pleased to serve as a hub for your volunteer hours and to assist you in finding community service placements for your volunteer experiences. In order to start your volunteer history profile, you will need to first register as a Volunteer Program participant. Students only need to register once while they are at MiraCosta College.
Once you have registered through this form, our staff will then enter you into our service database and also add your email to our department newsletter so you can receive information about service opportunities, scholarships, and other resources. After we enter you into our service database, we will send you an email confirmation with our volunteer booklet so you can document your volunteer hours. Once you submit your volunteer hours to our center, we will always have a record of your service hours in our database. If you have any questions, please email us at servicelearning@miracosta.edu
A Culture Of Service To Our Community
At MiraCosta Community College we value our community and service to others as an opportunity to help students build cultural and social capital. The Service Learning & Volunteer Center helps students connect to service opportunities and helps students track their volunteer hours. Students who document and submit proof of hours to the Service Learning & Volunteer Center can receive recognition for their service upon completing 50-99 or 100+ hours. When students volunteer, their service hours can be used to apply for scholarships. Students can also use their volunteer experience to enhance their transfer applications and to explore various career paths.
