undocumented, DACAmented, and mix-status students at MiraCosta College feel safe and
supported by providing access to immigration legal services, offering academic and
mental health counseling, and connecting students to financial and academic resources.
MiraCosta College will not release any personally identifiable student information, including any data related to immigration status, without a judicial warrant, subpoena or court order, unless authorized by the student or required by law.

Join the Higher Education Legal Services (HELS) for an interactive webinar where thier team will discuss the current state of DACA, what it means to be DACAmented, and resources available. We encourage you and your loved ones to attend, and will include Q&A.
JFS HELS: Know Your Rights: Thursday, Sept. 29, 12-1PM
The Higher Education Legal Services (HELS) Team invites you to Know Your Rights when in Removal to undertand your rights in the presence of law enforcement. Session includes how to make a Family Preparedness Plan in case you or your loved ones are detained or deported. Having these tools can provide a sense of control and security. We encourage you and your loved ones to attend.

During this workshop we will take a look at those resources available on campus, see how campus offices can collaborate to implement those opportunities, and how the legal providers can support this process.
