Student Life & Leadership is rich with activities, events, community, and leadership development programs.
As individuals, we are caring and welcoming to all students and strive to promote a culture where students are valued, validated, and appreciated. We believe that it is our responsibility to engage in equity minded work and support our campus community.
As a team, we are professionals that are competent and reliable and value transparency when providing support. We are the subject experts of student life, student development, and leadership. Our real strength comes from our ability to effectively develop and nurture relationships across the district with all departments, staff, faculty, and students.

Recurring Programs & events
Student leadership Conference
The Student Leadership Conference hosts sessions by various speakers to develop your leadership skills and experience. This biannual event occurs near the beginning of the fall and spring semesters and is open to all currently enrolled students. Participants receive free breakfast and lunch, free swag and giveaways, and a certificate of completion. Meet and connect with your peers; learn about upcoming leadership opportunities; gain insight and strategies for student leadership. Don't miss out on this chance to thrive on campus and beyond.

Club Rush
Club Rush occurs near the beginning of the fall and spring semesters, prior to the club registration deadline. Students can join clubs, meet their peers, make new friends, and recruit club members. Anyone can table at Club Rush: whether their club is current, new, or incoming. Clubs do not need to be officially registered to table at Club Rush.
GradFest
GradFest is an end-of-year event (typically held in mid-April) where we invite all MiraCosta graduates and their families, friends, and supporters to celebrate their accomplishments. Purchase your cap and gown, tassel, announcements, spirit wear; participate in games and activities with your guests; and more.
Student Leaders Banquet
At the Student Leaders Banquet, we recognize the hard work and service our student leaders contribute to the MiraCosta Community through the year. This event occurs annually near the end of April. Recognition and awards are given by various departments and programs, as well as Club of the Year, Student Leader of the Year, and more. All students, staff, faculty, administrators, community members, and guests are welcome.
